When Statoil was going to drill offshore Canada with the rig Henry Goodrich, Deep Sea Mooring was selected to be the supplier of mooring equipment.
The Anchor handling vessel Skandi Vega loaded 13 complete anchor systems in Norway to be used for pre-laying the mooring equipment at the well 550 km east of New Foundland and in water depths of 1,100 meters. The equipment was loaded in Norway from Kristiansund and Mongstad. The final load for the vessel was about 3500t of anchor handling equipment, this would equal 2700 cars (VW Golf) loaded onto one vessel.
